Jeremy Keith

Jeremy came to my old company to do an AJAX training workshop. Top notch it was, too.

You don’t often meet people who talk about the joy of programming, but Jeremy made an entire presentation out of it dConstruct06.

He had freaked out because he wanted to hear about meeting George Lucas and what that’s like. This is because Jeremy is a huge Star Wars fan. I did not know of this before, actually.

I swore to meet him at the Lifehacker party but true to the spirit of SxSW, everyone’s plans had changed on a dime. I didn’t run into him after that, unfortunately.

Hopefully I will be able to tell him the tale the next time we meet, if I’m not able to type it all out. (It’s a lot better with hand motions and facial expressions and all; text doesn’t quite have the same effect.)

I would like to meet Mr. Keith, so I could give him a swift, knife-hand chop to the left temple—where I believe he stores his javascript skills, and drain said skills from him.

He plays in a band called Salter Cane, and is really rather good.

I would love to tell him how inspiring he’s been to me and pick his huge brain for 5 minutes. :-)
